The numbers in red are the U.S. $ amount.  It is small enough that the kids raise money for one item at a time.

Joey has paid for an axe and cabbage seeds already. : )

Lawrence' assistant e-mailed me and told me the orphanage prayed for our family last week.  The kids love having a relationship with them.  Joey wrote this cute little letter yesterday to Lawrence:

Dear Lawrence,

My name is Joey and I am 11 years old.  I am Bridgette's son.  I attached a picture of me so you know who I am.  Can you give the Baraka kids a message for me?

I will work very hard to make your village a better place.  I am going to come up with a lot of ideas this summer to raise for money for you guys.  I enjoy seeing pictures of what you look like.  I hope some day I can come to Baraka to visit.  I know your village is need right now but I promise that all of us will do our best to help you.  I am very excited to be a part of your lives.  My mom said we can send lots of packages to you guys so hopefully we can do that soon and maybe even you guys can send us pictures back.  I promise to pray for you and maybe boys my age can write me something and I could be friends with them.

Have a wonderful day and God bless you!

We get e-mails from the village once a week.  The pictures make it real to the kids.  Next best thing to being there I guess.  It is awesome.

If you want to join us in the garden, I will send you all the e-mails we get and pictures.  I am going to send boxes of stuff to them too.  If we stay under 4 lbs. it is not that expensive.

OK-enough of my fundraising pitch.

All I have to report is that I scrubbed out the bathtub today.

That's all!
