I guess it's my turn to blog now. I had a good day off. I worked in the school cafeteria and then went out to lunch at "Sweet Tomatoes" with my friend. We had a good time.
It's started going down hill after that...
Apparantly, Holly used a little boys socks from his locker a few weeks ago at school because hers were all muddy. I got 2 calls from the teacher saying the socks needed to be returned. Of course, I didn't know where the socks were. They all look the same to me. So, I had to go out and buy a 6 dollar bag of socks at Target to appease everybody. (I wish I had enough time in the day to sit and contemplate where my kids socks were!)
It then kept going down hill,....(by the way, I had to spend my only allowance from John on those dang socks)
Hannah went on a play date at a friends house tonight. The boys had a concert they were singing in at school so they dropped her off at the concert. She came over to me, sat down and then burst into tears. Apparantly the dad walked into the house and said 'Hi' to Hannah. She said she said hi back. He didn't hear her so he said hi again to her. She said hi again. He then told her to come over to him and that he needed to have a little talk with her. He told her that she was being rude and disrespectful to him and that when the host of the home says hello to her she is to say hi back and to thank him for inviting her over. He told her that if her attitude ever happened again she would not be allowed to come into their home.
Hannah was hysterical. She cried during the entire concert, during the ride home, and until she fell asleep. I am furious. I don't know whether to call the mom or just not allow her to go over to the house any more. I thought it was ridiculous that he was intimidating an 8 yr old girl like that.
I prayed with her, told her god knew her heart and that she needed to forgive her friends dad. I also told her we would lay off on the play dates with this friend.
This too shall pass.........
Jennifer is taking Hannah out for breakfast tomorrow for her "godmother b-day breakfast" She is excited so that came at a perfect time. We are then off to clean the school (all the parents have to sign up once a year to save money on janitors) and then it's off to baseball. and soccer games.
I'll be back tomorrow. Maybe I won't be so mad when i write my next blog..

I don't blame you one bit for not letting Hannah go over to that house. That was a very scary thing to hear. What kind of a person is he when company isn't around? I might even be able to call the parents on that one....How awful!! :(
I agree! I would not let her go over there again. I can't believe that he would even worry about such a trivial thing.
