Johnny's team (Johnny is #8)
He's such a cute catcher
He Swings.........................and...............
He strikes out..........
Fun night at baseball. We won.
Looks like Johnny is catcher this year...pitching occasionally
He looks SOOOOO cute in his catcher's gear.
Today was good. I have a long assignment in the office that will take months to complete.
It's actually quite boring. I look up all the clients doctors, find the doctor's addresses and then send letters out to them introducing Home Instead Senior Care. Tedious....
Very,
Very,
Tedious....................I did get a raise though. Instead of ten bucks an hour I make 15 now. That's good news. So I try hard.
AFRICA NEWS:
This is exciting so read with great anticipation!!!
I put Hannah's "my little pony" container on my desk and told my 7 office mates that I was collecting money for our little African friends. I told them I only wanted spare change....just spare change is all I ask....
pennies
nickels
dimes
quarters
Out from their pockets came all their spare change....I made....are you ready?...100 bucks in change in 5 minutes!! That is a miracle in itself....
But wait..
I'm not done yet...
I have been thinking about having this classical pianist play for a fund raiser to make more money. She is a CHA alumni that is a freshman in highschool and has won many awards for her playing. I saw her mom in the parking lot at school. I went up to her and asked her if her daughter would ever consider playing for a fundraiser.
Here is the exciting part. I don't want you to miss it........
She said, "Oh, she would love to. She was trying to do a fundraiser last year at CHA for orphans in Africa. That is where her passion lies"................Way...........too..............cool............
Ok, so I said in my calm voice, "that is what I am fundraising for. Do you think her friend Adam Kim would play as well" ( Adam Kim just won "Chicago's best highschool classical pianist of the year award and plays with the Chicago Symphony Orchastra at only 15 years of age). Her mother said, "that wouldn't be a problem at all. They are best friends and I know he would be happy to do it!"
The ball is rolling........but it is not done rolling.........
I called John, and told him what happened. John is completely uninterested in this Africa thing......
Shockingly......
He said...........
"You know, I think I will go down to the music dept. at New Trier and find out if they have any exemplary musicians (you know they do) that would be interested in playing as well. I'll let you know in a few days if he gives me some names. Then we can advertise the recital not only at CHA but the whole North Shore community as well."
FLABBERGASTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! John wanted to help me?
So, I may be putting together a benefit concert soon.
Maybe Matt can come down and play his trumpet....Shelly, what do you think? That idea just popped into my head. Ideas are popping out all over the place....
The adventure continues............

Johnny's pictures are cute, especially the strike out one. Nate starts tee ball soon, but fortunately that is only once a week for about an hour!
I agree... the strike out one is classic.
