"I am a shrimp compared to those guys"
"I will never be able to play in that league"
"I'm going to make a fool of myself"
"No one's going to talk to me"
"I refuse to go!"
We made him go........................(fake smile)
He did great. He hit a double, stole 3 bases, made an amazing catch in the outfield landing on his side, and took a few walks. He had one of the best games he ever played. The announcer came over to him and congratulated him on his flying, horizontal catch in the outfield. Johnny was all smiles. He loved playing late at night, under the lights in downtown Northbrook. I think he will jump on the chance to do that again. So, anyway, that was fun to watch.
Hannah and her friend Lizzy are going to ballet together and loving it..
The kids went to church sports camp last week. Willow Creek and our church put on a sports camp together and it was awesome. They had 200 kids attend. On the last night Holly won the award for the best athlete in soccer. She scored all the goals for the team. (I think we have another Johnny coming up in the ranks). She runs like a road runner and get right in with the boys and knocks them all down for the ball, gets the break away and scores....She was all smiles when she went up on stage to get her award.
I got an A on my first Soc quiz. I was happy. The work still continues. All I do is read, read, read....
That's about it for this week. We did make 348 dollars for my african orphanage so far. I am turning the money in this week to support 2 orphans for the year. We are talking to the president through skype in a few weeks. The kids will be excited to tell them of our adventures pet sitting.
We did have one death.......our neighbors pet lizard died on us 5 days after they left on a 3 week vacation. It was one of their boys eagle scout projects. I think we are in trouble. The lizard had a few seizures and died. I don't think it was our fault. Anyway, we have to break the news next week to them. I don't think we will take any money for that sitting job.
I'll talk soon! Hope Mike and Sarah are having a great time in MN!!
xoxo

Hopefully they can replace it and still use it for their project... that would be awful to lose your eagle cuz of the death.....
