The Statue of Liberty.......as if you didn't know : )
The kids LOVED it. They were so excited. We climbed to the top level of the base right below the statue and I thought I was going to die. It was gorgeous though.
Here we are at the bottom before we make the climb...about 12 flights....
ELLIS ISLAND
John and I loved it. Johnny liked it and the other 3 wanted to get back on the boat. All I kept hearing was the word "boring".
THE CAKE BOSS-"CARLOS BAKERY"
We wanted to go in soooo bad and taste the pastries but the line was 1 1/2 hours long and it was 93 degrees. So, we just got our picture taken out front.
We never made it to Manhattan. It took all our energy to go to the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and Carlos bakery. By the time we got back it was too late and the kids were beat. Next time.....
On a different note....
The kids had a big write up about their work for the African orphans. Go to the website www.handsatwork.org and look on the right hand side of the page. Click on Africa on their Shoulders and the article will come up. It is really nice.
My next pictures will be of Cooperstown.
Bye for now

Looks like you have had a ton of fun so far... I am not sure I could do 12 flights of stairs if there were people coming up behind me.. pressure to keep moving would do me in...
