random haircut/ garbage day/ volleyball

Got sick of my hair.

Pulled out the sewing scissors and started cutting.

Hair everywhere.

It turned out OK.

Not sure what the back looks like---

Took off about 3".  It was getting soooo long...

John said, "It looks all right."  That's means he likes it in "John talk".

I got my eyebrows waxed today too....I LOVE that...

Well, garbage day came and went...

I got out some boxes...

You can see John's grandmothers old orange pillow on the top of the heap.

Don't tell him it's gone.

It may dissolve our marriage..

Joey had a volley ball game today.

I get so nervous when he plays.

My heart is in my throat whenever the ball comes even remotely close to him.

Warm up is hard to watch.

All the boys are at the net practicing their spikes.

Joey is in the corner of the gym....

tying, and retying his shoes....

adjusting and readjusting his knee pads.....

He gets the courage to practice spiking with the other boys..

As he walks up to the net...he turns and goes back to his corner...

His cheeks red and embarrassed.

Occasionally he will ask a boy, "Hey, what are you practicing?"

They ignore him.

I watch from the stands hoping someone will go over and warm up with him..

Johnny is yelling from the balcony "Go over and practice with the other boys Joey!"

Joey ignores him.

I don't think that helps.

I keep praying...

Here he is sitting on the bench...the little guy in the middle hunched over.

game time and Joey is in the most vulnerable position...the middle, in the front...Ugh...

He actually does all right.  He hit a few over the net and the guys all gave him a pat on the arm.

He was smiling but told me afterward that the "pat" on the arm hurt and he thinks he has a bruise.
