Oh... my... gosh....did I actually just complete my anthropology course?
4 1/2 hour essay test
writers cramp
went through 3 pencils and 4 erasers
back ache
black mascara smeared below my eyes
I'm done.......
For 3 weeks that is. Then it's on to Macroeconomics.
Ugh!
Sitting here in Panera contemplating my reasoning for the dumb idea of going back to school.....

Work has been interesting this weekend.
The angel of death has been coming on the unit all at once lately.
I was with 2 people when they died.
I was the last person to talk to both of these people when they were coherent.
Not just a "How are you feeling today" conversation but a "How are you doing dealing with dying, do you have a faith, and what was your life like" conversation.
Weird....
Not sure why I was the one to have that conversation with them--not their family member-- and then turn around the next day and help usher them up to heaven.
I guess one day God will tell me.

John bought me a fire pit for Mother's Day.
I had been talking about wanting one for this summer.,
You know......family time....what a mother envisions....sitting around the fire.....singing Kumbaya while Johnny plays the guitar...... late night talks with the girls..... snuggling in a lawn chair with John after all the kids have gone to bed.....all that sort of stuff.....
I think that I will be mostly dreaming about the above and trying to keep the kids from burning "cool" stuff in the pit and getting fat on S'mores all summer.

Baseball has taken over. Johnny's doing great. He's pitching this year and his arm has gotten a lot stronger. I saw him walk up and shake hands with his coaches after the game and thank them. My eyes welled up with tears....he is actually doing what I have been yelling at him to do for years...makes a mother proud.
Joey is going on a 3 day field trip to WI. with the 6th grade class tomorrow. Can't wait to hear about his adventures when he gets back.
Holly is pulling her usual practical jokes...last week she snuck to the kitchen in the middle of the night and re arranged all the cereal bags in different cereal boxes and then went back to bed. We all got up and went to pour our cereal the next morning and everyone had the wrong cereal coming out in their bowls. How does a 6 year old think of doing that? She asked me for a back scratcher and a fake mustache for her birthday......
Hannah's recital is in 2 weeks. Her outfits are darling. I will have to take pics and post them.
