Today was a pretty fun day.
Not sure Aitor thought so, but I did.
4 families from church went to Fullerton Beach today.
We passed out free water bottles and lemonade to the joggers and bikers.
The pedestrians were shocked. Aitor didn't understand.
I think he thinks we are Jesus freaks.
These are pics of the kids passing out water.
The joggers and bikers said, “Why are you doing this?”
Us- “Just because” : )
Them- “Really?”
Us- “Yep”
Them- “Wow, cool, that's so nice.”
The kids got sooooo into it... It was great.
Johnny never likes to serve. He said “Mom, so many people were smiling at us. I loved that!”
By the way-The tall guy on the left is Aitor : )

We headed to the Lincoln Park Zoo afterwards.
kids and Aitor. Joey didn't get to come--theater camp. |
Reason: We had to park in the $30 dollar Zoo parking lot to get across the street to the beach.
I am going to be honest-- I absolutely hate the zoo.
The animals are never out.
We stare at empty cages and can't find any apes to look at.
We stare at empty fields to see the zebras..Nope-can't find a zebra.
We stare at the Lion cages and only 1 small bobcat was out.
We even went to the small mammal building to try and find a sugar glider. (Hannah's diorama project)
We saw the sign for sugar gliders... looked through the glass....No sugar glider. It must have been at the vet that day.
Who knows. I was hot, tired and that's why I hate the zoo.
Holly said it was one of the most wonderful days of her life. Go figure...

By the way, this is what I am doing right now--
I am at an 89 yr. old ladies house in Chicago taking care of her from 9p-1am for a nurse friend of mine. It's 10:38pm and I am already getting tired. She pays me 50 bucks every time I come over so it's worth it.
It paid for the zoo parking today anyway.
Bye for now....going to put “Wallis” to bed and start the coffee and get down to my macro economics.
Good Night.
