Free Fridays/Football

I dropped my Friday nights at the hospital.

Relief!  No more carpooling, after school care, and lost time with the kids.

So, so happy I did that.

Added 1 day on at the priests retirement center during school hours.

Much, much better.  I'm there 3 days a week now.

That job is going very well.

The reason it's my favorite job......If you know me well you will know why : )

I get to sit around all day long and socialize with the men and eat dove bars.

Seriously.  That's what I do.  And...they pay me!

I am taking 2 priests to the Andrea Rieu Concert next Sunday night.

They can't wait.

I told them if they were good at the concert I would buy them an Andrea Rieu t-shirt.

I love my little priests : )

I started a new rule in my house.

Each kid has to make dinner a certain night of the week.

I think I'm a genius for coming up with that!

They write down what they want to make on the calendar.

I buy the ingredients and let them go at it.

It's working!  Especially for Joey...he has found his passion..

The other night he made spaghetti w/meatballs.  He was so proud of himself.

He plated everything, --arranging the meatballs in just the right place on everyone's plate.

Meticulous that boy......even set out napkins, drinks, the works.

We all sat down, Holly blessed the food and the bliss was over in 2 seconds.

"This is gross!  I'm not eating this Mom!" said Johnny.

Joey ran into his room sobbing.

Way to go Johnny.

All I could hear was, "I worked so hard on that...everyone hates my meal...I can't cook...I"m not doing it anymore...

Way to go Johnny.

I finally sat him down explaining that every night ALL my children say, "I hate this Mom!  Why did you make this!" ..and that I didn't run to my room crying.  So I wanted him to keep cooking and get a thicker skin.  I told him his meal really was wonderful!  He said, "Your just saying that Mom because I'm your son!"  I finally convinced him to give it another try.  So my children cooking for me continues!

I missed Johnny's first football game.

I had to work.

Excuse the grammar...but that sucked!

It really did.

I almost cried when I walked into work.

He plays 7 games and I will make the rest.  But I really wanted to be at the first one.

He made first string as the kicker and plays corner back.

He made 2 great tackles he said.

Yep- I missed it.

Yep-  Again- It sucks....

Here are super, super cute pictures of my growing boy.  And yes, I made them X-Large because he is so cute!

John is the Asst. Coach...Big surprise there!  He can't stay away and be a spectator!

Here is a very short clip of Johnny making a few tackles and Joey having absolutely no idea about the game of football.

That's about it! Ballet, Bollywood, Hip Hop (for Joey), soccer and football take up my time every day after school.

And that's been my week!
