Finally, a few pictures of Johnny playing basketball. These are his best friends and I love them all. Great, great kids...
John's trying to talk me into coaching boys volleyball at CHA with him. I know what that means..he'll be late to practice and I'll be asking the boys how to run drills because I don't know a thing about the sport. I told him my job was to pass out snacks and water and sing the national anthem if they needed me. That's it..and if he is late, EVER, I am quitting...which you know he will be. We shall see how this works out.
The 5th and 6th graders from CHA came and performed a Christmas play for my priests today. It was SOOOO cute! The men loved them. A few priests were even teary eyed after the show and told me they could see the Holy Spirit at work in the hearts of the kids. They were so impressed with their knowledge of scripture.
The kids were so cute; dressed up like little angels, shepherds, wise men, and animals. The priests haven't had children come to see them in 12 years. They were elated. Even the ones who couldn't speak because of illnesses were smiling from ear to ear. Super, super fun..
Here is a picture of the priests watching the show...
Here is Holly sitting on the lap of her favorite priest, Father LoBianco. He is 90 yrs. Old. They mutually love each other. I'm going to frame this and give it to him for Christmas.
I had a speaker come and talk to them on Human Trafficking last week. The men were really interested in what the social worker had to say. They ended up donating money to her cause. It was a big hit. So, things are going very well with my job lately.
Joey is playing the part of 'Curt' in the Sound of Music for the school play. He asked me to tape him while he practiced his 2 lines. Here he is-so darn cute..
Our fish, Piper, died last week. We were SO glad. No more taking care of that fish. That thing lived for 5 years.
Guess what Joey brought home today...
May I introduce to you, Rex:
A gift from his teacher. Hooray....
I quit my volunteer job at the pregnancy center this week. I put in a 2 week notice so I will only be going downtown on the train 2 more times. I was spending 50 bucks a month in train fare and parking fees.
I worked there about 6 months. It should be enough to put on my resume if I ever get a degree in Social Work. Speaking of that, I start my Biology class January 19th.
I'm going to start my Christmas letter tonight. I'm at Wallis' and I have some quiet time to think about it. I'll try to make it funny. Let's see what I come up with!

Volleyball is quite a challenge.. ask Ryan..He was an assistant coach for a season and had to take his turn refereeing the games... parents were maniacs.. make sure you don't have to ref any of the games..
That is so nice the priests got some kids to come. I cannot believe they haven't had any for that long.. No Christmas caroling? Amazing..
We have the dog rescue people interview us next week for a dog.
When is Joeys play?
