We have a patient who is 46 yr. old
A wife, 2 kids and is dying of stomach cancer. He wants to write his kids letters.
I asked a volunteer to do it. No one came. I didn't want to be the one dictating for him.
I finally offered Friday. He said he would think about it.
All he does is throw up.
All day long.
It never stops.
His wife and kids aren't there-they can't watch it.
I stand there and wipe his mouth with a rag all shift long.
It's awful. That's what I did those days....wipe black bile off his mouth.
He's saved. That's good. But still hard to watch.
I don't know if he will be alive Friday when I return to work.
His pastor was singing to him Friday when I walked by the room. It was hard to watch...
I returned home and had to gear up for Hannah's dance recital at a nursing home. It was very sweet.
Here are some pictures of her. She was in 4 dances....
I braided Hannah's hair and then undid the braids for school. It looked so cute on her.
Here is another cute picture before school
That's about all I took this week.
We are going to our foster care meeting on Tuesday. I'll let you all know how it turns out.
Pray for us...we are driving on the south side of Chicago......In other words....
We don't want to make any wrong turns.
