I am typing this as I sit at Wallis' house- my $50/night job. (That sounded a little like prostitution didn't it?) anyway... I work 9pm-1am, making sure Wallis doesn't fall when she goes to the bathroom and off to bed. It's an easy way to make money except I am tired...and drink lots of coffee.
We have a lot going on as usual. I'll start off with the fun stuff first....
SAILING..
It was fun.
For a while anyway.
Don't think I would ever buy a sailboat or a time share for that matter, which is what the people that took us sailing do.
It is a lot of work. Pulling the ropes to move the sail in and out is hard. Really hard.
It was too much work to call it a relaxing time. The boys got a chance to steer the boat and we all got to see the city light up at night as we pulled into the harbor. And the rainbow..it was spectacular.
Yes, there was a rainbow because....yes, we got caught in a huge lightening/thunderstorm on the lake. We had to run under the deck because of the torrential downpour (twice I might add) but an adventure it was. We were all soaked by the time we made it back.
Another side note- It was the Lolapalooza Festival that night—a HUGE music fest in Grant Park. A sold out crowd..literally millions of people...It made for interesting people watching and a lot of traffic.
I know Chris and Shelly already saw these pictures on Facebook, but I'll post them for Mike.

MY NEW JOB AT TECHNY TOWERS (Where the priests live)
3 words- I love it!
Pros:
- Free food all day-including ice cream bars, every kind of cookie you can think of, and terrific main courses (that may not be a pro as I watch myself gain weight)
- I only have to take care of 4 residents and there are 2 CNA's per shift. Basically nothing to do for most of the day.
- I work with all men who like to kiss me every time they see me : )
- I get paid way too much money for just 'hanging around all day'.
- I get to listen to stories from all these priests who were missionaries in Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, and Africa for over 50 years.
- They call me “Brydie” which I think is kind of cute : )
- I work great hours.
- I get my devotions in for the day, as I read scripture to 2 blind men.
- I get to look at necklaces with tiger teeth on them, spears from headhunters, and ivory chalices.
Cons: None so far.
I'm sure I'll learn much from my new friends!
Now, on to the bad news..
MOLD
Not just mold my friends......Black Mold...Toxic Black Mold...the kind of mold you have to destroy, tear out walls and burn mold...the kind of mold that makes you sick.
Yes-we have been living in a house full of toxic black mold for the last 10 years--since that flood we had when we first moved in.
Not sure how bad it is yet. The 'mold inspectors' have to come in space suits and start ripping out walls in the basement.
Asthma, headaches....probably all from black mold....
Cost to us.....a fortune. If it is bad- the cost will be everything we have.
So the mold story continues......
I'm not going to think about it anymore.
It's time to go home from Wallis' house.
I'm tired.
Good Night.
