Construction and My Priests

It's 11:30 p.m.
I'm at Wallis'.
She was totally confused tonight~ Didn't know who I was.
Invited me to sleep over.
I think she thought I was a homeless woman who needed a place to stay. : )
Doctor said she has congenital heart failure and gives her 4 months.
That makes me sad. I really like her.

Doing my morning routine the other day, looking for my cotton balls to wash my face.
I found them. Down stairs on the 'craft' table:

Holly's making a diorama.
I feel like we are always making dioramas for school.
Isn't there another way to show you know the environment an animal lives in?
I don't know. Just sick of looking for shoe boxes, glue and paint ~ cleaning up pebbles and grass all over my floor. Then I have to keep them for a while after they bring them home. Blah!

I took the priests out for lunch on Thursday.
“Fun” isn't exactly the word I would use.
Maybe “Circus” would be a better word.
There were 11 of us. 9 men and my boss and I.
There was a fight in the van between 2 of the men ~so I had to take the feisty one in my car.
I think I heard the “F” word.
It took 20 minutes to load everyone up.
Walking in the back door with 3 walkers and 3 wheelchairs wasn't so easy.
The entrance was about 2 feet wide with 2 tight turns- maneuvering the walkers and chairs had to be an exact science.
2 blind men came. They were the ones pushing the wheelchairs because they were the only ones who could walk. Yep, I think the word “Circus” comes to mind.
The guy who was mad in the van wouldn't sit with us. I had to go over and coax him to sit by me.
Does this sound like a pre-school trip?
Anyhoo, after we all ordered and ate and spilled just about everyone's glass over on the table, I tipped the waitress big time and we started to leave.
I had the tail end of the group.
The feisty one was in the back. He refused to sit in his wheelchair ~ He wanted to walk.
Yep-he fell.
All the bar patrons got him up off the floor.
We left ~ sweat beading on my face ~ trying to make sure I had everyone's wheelchairs and walkers in the trunk.
All I can say is, I'm glad we only take them out once a month.
My voice is still hoarse from trying to explain the menu.

I'm taking 16 men to the Ring-a-ling Brothers Circus on Nov. 6th.
We should fit right in..

My dear friend, Alicia, came to visit this week.
She moved to Oklahoma this summer.
I miss her.
We laugh a lot.
We had such a fun time spending time together.
I made her a dish at one of those pottery places.
I had all her friends sign it as a remembrance for her.
I painted it myself-
Big mistake.
It looked like Holly had done it.
It was AWFUL.
I gave it to her and told her she could throw it away if she wanted.
Of course she said she loved it.
Embarrassing...

Football is winding down.
Only 2 more games left.
I totally enjoyed watching Johnny play.

Joey quit hip-hop.
He was the only one in his class.
I don't blame him.

John told our painter he could go home after only painting the front and one side of the house.
He said he wasn't going to pay the guy anymore money because no one saw the other side and the back.
ARE YOU KIDDING????
So, half of our house is yellow and half is white.
This is a fight waiting to happen..

Our roof is being put on as I speak.
I parked my car in front of the neighbor's house (Gadi's old house) because the roofing trucks need to use our driveway.
No big deal—Right?
The next day our neighbor parked his car out in front of his house...so I couldn't put my car there.
He never parks there.
He took his car,
pulled it out of his garage,
and has had it parked there for the last 2 days.
Burns me up.
John says to forget about it.
It still burns me up.
Anyway-
I truly, truly love the roof.
My neighbor said “Oh, it's cute”.
John said he didn't think she liked it.
I don't care.
I love it.
Pictures to come.

Here are a few pics of Joey and I and John-
Is this not the cutest boy?? : )

No, I didn't pee my pants here....Hmmm...

Here is a video of Holly. She says she wants to take Irish dancing..not sure this is quite what Irish dancing looks like. Maybe more like a mix between the rockettes and table top dancing. (Notice how she is trying to show her leg towards the beginning. I need to watch that girl)..I can't stand how cute she is w/o her 2 front teeth. My last child with missing teeth...sigh....

Talk soon
XOXO
