And then the Fight Started....

John- "Bridgette, let's go out tonight."

Me- "Really?  Wow! Okay!"

John- "Why don't we go to the grocery store.  I saw a table by the bakery.  We can get a pastry and sit  down there."

Me- "The grocery store?  Well, Okay."    (Strike 1)

We leave.....

We pull into a fancy restaurant.....

Me-  "Wow, this is a really nice place!  I thought we were going to the grocery store?"

John- "No.  I thought I would take you out for dessert here.  They have a great T.V. and I can watch the game."   (Strike 2)

I order my martini and my chocolate brownie.

I start talking to him...I'm a little tipsy...having fun....

Me-"Do you know what I want to do when we retire?  I want to go on a bunch of adventures!   I want to get an apartment in the city, travel with you to beautiful islands, go out to eat alot and just have a ton of fun!  What do you want to do when we retire?"

John-"Well, maybe drive a school bus or mow the lawns for New Trier High School."

(Strike 3....Your out)

I didn't talk anymore.

John was cheering for the game..

He finally noticed I stopped talking.....

"What?" he said.

"Nothing"

This morning..

AND THEN THE FIGHT STARTED....

Is there even 1 smidgen of romance in this man?  Can he even come up with 1 thing that shows me he can't wait to hang out with me?

Never seen it in 16 years...

I started thinking...

He's like his mom..

Practical, not passionate about much at all, doesn't show his feelings, detail oriented, likes to clean, doesn't like to socialize a whole lot, loves to fold laundry.

I'm venting.....Just mad at him today.

I am on the team at Willow Creek to get welcome packages ready for refugee families that arrive in Chicago.  I have to organize boat loads of stuff in 2 big pods.  It's just myself and 2 other girls doing the organizing.  Lots of work.  I'm glad I got involved in something though.

Tomorrow's my last day to volunteer at the pregnancy center.  I'm so glad I am not riding the train down there anymore.  I liked it for a while but I want to free up a day.  My biology class starts in 2 weeks and so I need that extra time to study.

We went down to see Jennifers daughter, Brianna, compete in Elite Cheerleading at UIC.  It was pretty incredible.  She is only 10 and can do pretty amazing tumbling.  They are competing in Dallas in March.  Very fun and very loud!

That's about it around here. Everyone is just enjoying their Christmas presents.

Bye.
